I explored the Lafarge Meadows in South Calgary today. Lafarge Meadows was a sand pit years ago. Now it is a great area for birds and animals. I was not disapointed but rather suprised by the sightings and photographic opportunites. The light was flat, however there was nothing I could do about that.
This American Wigeon and Great Blue Herron must be thiinking the same as I was, Is this winter going to end?
We are into Spring but there is no sign of Spring. The American Robin and the Killdeer looks all confused.
Food is scarce for all birds in the Winter. For these birds I hope Spring is going to be here soon.
All photos captured using Nikon D500 with a Nikon 200 - 500mm lens.
